HASTINGS
Pui Ying Hastings Chinese School was established in 2000. To increase students' interest in learning Chinese Language, lessons are designed to be more interactive with more participation from the students. Every year, the student body will be invited to participate in Christmas Celebrations, Lunar New Year Celebrations where students have an opportunity to experience the traditional cultural customs of China.
To improve communications between parents and the school, "Parent Advisory Group!" was set up to encourage feedback and support from parents. Meetings are held twice each year, once for each semester of each term. Ongoing contacts during drop-off and pick-up were also seen as great chances for school and parents to keep in touch with each other's views and needs.
